I personally believe that Poland was so Catholic during the Communist years was because it was a way to thumb their noses at the anti religious Russians/Commies. Now that Communism is on the ash heap of history, and poland is free, there is no need for ultra religiosity.

There have been women in the Israeli armed forces, in the front lines, for decades. I doubt anyone calls them wimps or doubts their abilities. I do believe, however, that the equipment assigned to women in combat MUST be designed to fit a woman's body, not just a smaller size of the men's equipment.
